Hyotan Gourd shohin pot

This pot was made using Hyotan gourds as a reference, traditionally used by Japanese farmers to hold sake or rice. In this case, however, since it was intended to hold a plant, I used its shape backwards, stylizing it. The vase is unglazed: the color is achieved with various oxides and low-temperature colored clays that vitrify at temperatures around 1240°C (2260°F).
EG - 2021

Measures: Ø 14,5 x 8 cm
                     Ø 5.7 x 3.15 in.
