Rectangular pot, constructed from slabs (tatara-kurinuki), made of a neriage clay rich in chamotte, which gives the structure greater solidity and a rustic look. Two different clays, one black and one red, were blended in varying degrees and then pressed together to achieve a natural gradient, intrinsic of the pot's material.
