"Bishamon kikko" han kengai

The Bishamon Kikko is a traditional Japanese geometric pattern featuring interlocking hexagons resembling a tortoiseshell. It is associated with Bishamonten, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune. This pot was entirely hand-carved after meticulous point-by-point measurements to ensure the geometric pattern was perfectly aligned. It was then painted with ferrous oxides to enhance its three-dimensionality.
