Double walled pot "The sea of Kanagawa"

I began making this vase in 2019 as a true personal challenge and a tribute to Hokusai's art. The vase is double-walled, with the outer wall carved and hollowed out. The idea was to give a sense of depth to the waves by letting the perforated parts represent the deepest, darkest parts of the sea. The result wasn't exactly what I expected, but it enriched me with new knowledge and a healthy dose of perseverance.
EG - 2019/2021 (Personal collection)

Measures: Ø 15,5 x 4,7 cm
                     Ø 6.10 x 1.85 in.
