In Japanese culture, the term "Karasu" (烏) literally means crow, a symbol of wisdom and intelligence. Similarly, there is a completely black koi carp with the same name (烏鯉) that symbolizes resilience, inner strength, and bringer of prosperity. So I sculpted both of these powerfully meaningful animals on this small oval pot.
